The organizations behind our content
Game for Science is a free multiplayer virtual world devoted to science, technology and free educational games. Several organizations collaborate with us to supply the research, the expertise and the classroom resources that make the portals work.

Workshops built with our partners
Partner organizations have worked with us on professional learning events for educators. A bilingual workshop, AgriSTEM and Education, was offered for primary and secondary students and their educators on March 9th, 2017, in collaboration with McGill University — Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, iScola, and Science on Stage Canada.
For teachers, the classroom side of this work includes lesson plans and exploration notebooks drawn from the same partner content.
Game for Science is a free multiplayer virtual world built entirely around science, technology and learning. Inside it, students and teachers move through themed environments, solving puzzles and taking part in activities that make abstract ideas tangible — from river ecology and food production to museum treasure hunts and scavenger hunts across a virtual island. Because the world is shared and browser-based, a class can explore the same port, ship or farm together, comparing discoveries in real time rather than working from isolated worksheets.
Collaboration sits at the heart of the platform, and the partners page shows that work in practice. Partner organizations have joined professional learning events for educators, including a bilingual workshop on agriculture and food production that brought together faculty, classroom teachers and student groups to trace milk from the dairy barn through processing, storing and preserving. The same partner material also feeds the classroom side of the experience, offering lesson plans and exploration notebooks so that what educators experience in the workshop carries directly into teaching.
Teachers and counsellors are encouraged to look through the portals, archives and student-centred resources before planning a visit, and many find the unique opportunity of bringing a guided farm or field tour into the classroom morning, progression and afternoon rhythm. Since the virtual world is free and requires no installation, participation is open to schools with varying levels of technical support, and a subscription-based approach can be considered for deeper, longer-running classroom integration.
